Lee Wicks - Muriel and the Grocer’s Daughter: A Memoir
Refreshments will be served.
Lee Wicks has lived and worked in Western Massachusetts since 1982. Her fiction and non-fiction reflect a powerful sense of place. She has written non-fiction for the Daily Hampshire Gazette, the Amherst Bulletin and the Boston Globe, and her essays on divorce, menopause and mothering have appeared in Salon.com. She’s a frequent contributor to The Montague Reporter.
Some Measure of Happiness, set in a Vermont town very much like Montague Center, was her first published novel. Her memoir, Muriel and the Grocer’s Daughter was published in 2020 . She is working on a second novel and writing essays about Ziggy, the Great Pyrenees puppy that has changed all preconceived notions about retirement.
