Call of the Wild Outdoor Skills for Youth 8+

The workshop starts indoors with a basic discussion of a few very popular outdoor themed books and then quickly moves outside to learn Outdoor & Survival Skills Hands-On. Registration required: Call 413-863-3214.

Montague Center Library. Registration required: Call 413-863-3214. Youth ages 8+. Two hours of outdoor skills instruction, with local author and outdoor skills instructor, Frank Grindrod. The workshop starts indoors with a basic discussion of a few very popular outdoor themed books and then quickly moves outside to learn Outdoor & Survival Skills Hands-On. Students will build a primitive survival shelter, learn how to use an emergency survival blanket, signal for rescue, take a Wild Edible Walk and learn what to do when lost!
