Have you ever thought about doodling with thread? Drawing has long been considered a meditative activity, and believe it or not, sewing has similar benefits for our wellbeing, too. In this beginner-friendly class, Wee Things Fiber Artist, Rachel Beaupré will guide you through a creative exploration of fabric collage and slow stitching. We’ll explore simple embroidery and mending stitches while piecing together collages of linen and cotton fabrics. Each student will stitch their collage into a fabric journal cover and take home a paper notebook to tuck inside. All tools and materials will be provided.

This free program is sponsored by the Montague Public Libraries.
