Paving a Path for Peace: Paper Crane Project Finale

From Monday, July 30th to Tuesday, August 7th families are invited to make origami cranes at any one of the Montague Public Library branches: Carnegie Library, Turners Falls - Montague Center Library - Millers Falls Library.
The project will culminate at the Tuesday, August 7th event with a reading of an excerpt of Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes and Peaceful Pieces: Poems and Quilts about Peace. Origami expert, Mike Naughton, will instruct participants in how to make paper cranes and other designs as well. The origami cranes will be attached to a quilt and displayed at the Carnegie Library. This program is supported by a grant from the Traprock Center for Peace & Justice.
