Auto-Renewal Issue: We Can Help!

Although auto-renewals have been reactivated in C/WMARS, they did not and will not have any effect on all the items that were due on July 1, 2020. Call us if you have accrued fines for items due on this date. Click news title for contact info.

How Auto-Renewal normally works:

If an item has a renewal available, it will automatically renew on the due date.

An email notification will be sent on the due date alerting you that a renewal has been attempted for your items. Check the body of the email to find out whether your items were successfully renewed or if they were unable to be renewed.

Items will not renew under the following circumstances:

  • if the maximum number of renewals has already been reached
  • if you have fines/bills totaling more than $10 on your account
  • if your account has expired

In March, C/WMARS extended the due dates for all patrons to July 1st, while libraries were closed and not accepting returns because of the pandemic. They recently reactivated auto-renewals but it doesn't cover the items that were due on July 1st. Give us a call if you have accrued fines for any items that were due on July 1st. We apologize for any added inconvenience this has caused. We will reach out to C/WMARS to see if they can rectify the issue.

You can call the main branch or the library you normally visit and we can help you!
